The Tooltips for Confluence app provides you with a simple macro to add inline tooltips to your Confluence pages.

Adding a Tooltip

When editing a Confluence page, place your cursor in the location you’d like to add the tooltip. Click the insert macro button in the toolbar and search for tooltip, click on the tooltip option that appears.

Configuring your Tooltip

Once you’ve added the tooltip to your page, you can configure it by clicking on the tooltip, and clicking the edit icon. You can enter the text that is to be displayed on mouse over by typing into the Tooltip Text field. You can pick a style for your tooltip using the options under Tooltip Style, and you can select from a few different icons using the options under Tooltip Icon.
